Das war eine schöne Tradition,seit den Pfalz-Metal-Nächten 2012 & 2013,sowie den Pälzer Hell´s 2014,2015,2016,2018,2019 und 2025 geleiteten euch Chrissi Steidel & Richard Heimler mit zarten Akustiklängen nach dem langen Tag in die Nacht hinein.
Wir sind dankbar für die dargebotete Musik und die tolle Unterstützung!!!!!!!!!!!!
Das Duo gibt es aber natürlich weiterhin und wer mal hier bei uns in der Kante unterwegs ist und auf zärtere Musik Bock hat,sollte sich mal einen Auftritt der Beiden gönnen!!!!!

Die belgische Atmospheric-Black-Doom-Band Splendidula veröffentlicht „Absentia“, die dritte Single und den Titeltrack ihres kommenden vierten Albums, das am 3. April 2026 über Argonauta Records erscheint. Der Song enthält Gastgesang von Tim Yatras, bekannt durch seine Arbeit mit Austere und Germ. Seine Präsenz verleiht der Komposition, die das emotionale Herzstück des Albums bildet, eine zusätzliche Ebene der Verletzlichkeit und Ernsthaftigkeit.

Nach mehreren persönlichen Tragödien entstand „Absentia“, ein Album, das für Splendidula ein neues, verletzliches Kapitel aufschlägt. Es wurde in einer Zeit des Verlustes geliebter Menschen, darunter auch Bassist Peter Chromiak, geschaffen. Musikalisch verbindet die Band Black Metal und Doom mit fragilen, atmosphärischen Passagen und kreiert so einen von Trauer, Spannung und Selbstreflexion durchdrungenen Klang.

Rise Of Kronos entstand 2021 als bewusste Wiedergeburt aus der Asche von Surface. Nach über einem Jahrzehnt voller Tourneen und Albumveröffentlichungen erreichte die Band einen Punkt, an dem „mehr vom Gleichen“ keine Option mehr war. Der Name ist eine Hommage an ihr Album von 2015, aber auch ein Statement: das Erbe bewahren, den Fokus schärfen und noch mehr geben.

Ihr neues Album „Slaves Of Time“ erscheint am 17. April 2026. Es ist moderner Death Metal mit brutaler Härte, der schwedische Aggression, progressive Präzision und Hardcore-Intensität vereint. Inhaltlich greift die Band weiterhin auf griechische Mythologie und existenzielle Themen zurück und widmet sich diesmal der Zeit, der Sterblichkeit und dem Gefühl, von Kräften gefangen zu sein, mit denen man nicht verhandeln kann – äußeren wie inneren.

Die niederländische Black-Metal-Band Doodswens hat mit „The Black Flame“ den nächsten offiziellen Track ihres kommenden Albums veröffentlicht, begleitet von einem neuen Musikvideo, das den Zuschauer tiefer in die Dunkelheit zieht. Das Video entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit dem visuellen Meister Mothmeister und ist auch in einer unzensierten Version auf dem Kanal des Labels verfügbar. Das neue Album erscheint am 17. Nach den Aufnahmen zum neuen Album "The Mother of Darkness" haben Possession beschlossen, das Viriakh und die Band getrennte Wege gehen. N.Vomitor wird den Gesang übernehmen und Death Commander (Dikasterion) wird zum fünften Kopf der Bestie, welcher die Bassrolle übernimmt.

We are Possession. This is our resurrection.
As the last ashes from A Thousand Lost Civilizations Vol. II finally fell on the ground and The Mother of Darkness got unleashed, we take time to celebrate the closure of one chapter for the Possession entity and the beginning of a new one.
After the recording of the new album, Viriakh and us decided to take different paths. We respected and still respect his decision. No further question about this event will be answered as the details belong to us.
Yet, our time wasn't done and we reshaped once again the five-headed Beast of Possession : N.Vomitor has now become our voice and we made Death Commander (Dikasterion) the fifth head of the Beast, on the bass duty.

Guitarist, songwriter and producer Simón comments on "To Become the Endless Static":

"The songwriting process for this album was certainly arduous. I can't say it was something fluid; so many riffs and almost full songs were thrown into the trash in the process. Some songs came out very naturally, while others were much harder to shape. I guess it's always like that, but at some points I felt a bit lost and kind of hating the album, I may have become too obsessed with certain expectations or with an idea of what the album "had to" be, instead of simply letting things take their own course, which is what finally happened in the end. Now I can say I fucking love it.

Half of the songs were composed by me at home or in the studio. For the other half, I brought several structural riff ideas that we later developed together in the rehearsal space. The lyrics were also shaped there, as Alex has an amazing ability to write on the spot."

Die mexikanischen Death-Metal-Veteranen Necroccultus melden sich mit einem neuen Studioalbum zurück. „The Afterdeath Blackness“ erscheint am 24. April 2026 über Terror From Hell Records und führt den kompromisslosen Old-School-Ansatz der Band konsequent fort.

Die Aufnahmen zum Album fanden im MAT Studio statt, wo das Material auch gemischt und gemastert wurde. Die Gesangsspuren entstanden zwischen Juli und Oktober 2025 im The Cave Home Studio, die technische Umsetzung übernahm Alex Méndez. Zusätzliche Keyboard-Passagen auf den Tracks 1, 6 und 8 steuerte Astarot bei. Das Coverartwork stammt von Thomas (Necromaniac), während Lorenzo Santini für das Layout verantwortlich zeichnet. Die ausführende Produktion liegt bei Terror From Hell Recs.

Musikalisch bleibt die Band ihrer Linie treu und setzt auf klassischen Death Metal ohne moderne Spielereien. Massive Riffs, klar strukturierte Songs und eine dichte, ritualhafte Atmosphäre prägen das Material. Die acht Stücke verbinden Komplexität mit direkter Wirkung und sorgen für einen durchgängigen Spannungsbogen über die gesamte Laufzeit.

Mit „The Afterdeath Blackness“ positionieren sich Necroccultus erneut klar innerhalb der traditionellen Death-Metal-Schule. Statt Trends zu folgen, setzt die Band auf Substanz und Kontinuität und richtet sich damit an Hörer, die authentischen, unverfälschten Sound bevorzugen.

Die erste Single „Dread Midnight Entities“ ist bereits verfügbar und gibt einen Eindruck von der klanglichen Ausrichtung des Albums.

Killtown Bookings bringt die PROFANING CREATION OVER EUROPE Tour am Donnerstag, 30.4.2026 in die Kreativfabrik Wiesbaden. Mit WARP CHAMBER und DEGRAVED wird starker US-Death-Metal aus dem Untergrund aufgefahren.

Warp Chamber stehen für eine rohe, verstörende Variante von Death Metal, die ihre Wurzeln klar in den alten Schulen aus Finnland, Schweden und den USA hat. Bereits das Demo „Abdication Of The Mind“ (2018) machte im Underground die Runde und führte die Band schnell ins Blickfeld der Szene. Mit ihrem Debüt „Implements Of Excruciation“ (2020) lieferten sie schließlich ein Album ab, das ihren Status als eigenständige Größe im US-Death-Metal festigte. Der Sound bleibt dreckig, dissonant und bewusst ungeschliffen, mit Fokus auf Atmosphäre statt Hochglanzproduktion.

Aus dem pazifischen Nordwesten melden sich Degraved zurück, ein Projekt mit Wurzeln bei Cavurn, das sich ganz dem harschen, schnellen US-Death-Metal verschrieben hat. Nach ihrem ersten Demo kehrte die Band 2023 mit „Whispered Morbidity“ zurück und präsentierte vier Stücke kompromisslosen Old-School-Materials. Inzwischen als Quartett unterwegs, ergänzt die Band ihren massiven Gitarrensound um dezente Synth-Flächen, ohne den rohen Kern zu verlieren.

Beide Acts stehen für eine Szene, die bewusst fernab moderner Hochglanzproduktionen operiert und stattdessen auf Druck, Atmosphäre und Authentizität setzt. Death Metal, der nach Keller, Proberaum und modrigem Tape riecht.

Mit „Echoes In The After” präsentieren die britischen Black-Metal-Vorreiter WINTERFYLLETH heute die zweite Single ihres am 27. März 2026 erscheinenden Studioalbums The Unyielding Season. Basierend auf einem Gedicht aus Sir Philip Sidneys „The Countess Of Pembroke’s Arcadia“ aus dem 16. Jahrhundert ist der Song eine direkte Reaktion auf die widerrechtliche Abholzung des Sycamore Gap Tree am Hadrianswall im Nordosten Großbritanniens.

Gehüllt in musikalische Erhabenheit ruft die Band hier zur Rebellion gegen das Böse auf. Das offizielle Musikvideo zu „Echoes In The After” greift die Lyrics visuell auf und übersetzt ihre Atmosphäre in eindrucksvolle Bilder.

Chris Naughton über „Echoes In The After”:
„Der Text entstand als Reaktion auf die Fällung des berühmten ‚Robin Hood‘-Baums am Sycamore Gap am Hadrianswall im Nordosten Großbritanniens. Er thematisiert die verstörende Realität, dass ikonische, historisch und kulturell bedeutende Wahrzeichen – tief geschätzt von lokalen Gemeinschaften – offenbar gezielt zerstört werden. Die gesamte Region scheint gezeichnet, wie in einer Klage der Natur über den Untergang eines symbolträchtigen Ortes. Ein Ereignis, das kalt, inszeniert und vorsätzlich wirkte. Für uns war es besonders bewegend, da dieser Baum einst als Inspiration für das Artwork unseres 2018er Albums The Hallowing of Heirdom diente.“

Die schwedische Death-Metal-Institution VOMITORY veröffentlicht am 10. April über Metal Blade Records ihr neues Album „In Death Throes“.

In jeder ernsthaften Diskussion über Death Metal darf der Name VOMITORY nicht fehlen. Die 1989 gegründete schwedische Band veröffentlichte zwischen 1996 und 2011 acht mitreißende Alben und etablierte sich damit als Giganten des Genres, bevor sie sich 2013 auflöste. Doch ihre Auszeit war nur von kurzer Dauer: 2019 kehrten sie anlässlich ihres 30-jährigen Jubiläums auf die Bühne zurück. Drei Jahre nach ihrem von der Kritik gefeierten Comeback-Album „All Heads Are Gonna Roll“ (2023) sind VOMITORY nun mit ihrem neuesten Werk „In Death Throes“ zurück.

The band didn't miss a beat in getting back to writing. According to drummer Tobias Gustafsson, while the unmistakable VOMITORY sound remains, the new album cranks up the intensity. "In Death Throes picks up where All Heads Are Gonna Roll left off, but we've turned the intensity up a notch. [New guitarist] Christian [Fredriksson] quickly found his place and even contributed music to four killer tracks. These additions bring a bit of diversity to our sound without straying too far from the formula."

In advance of the record's release, today VOMITORY unleashes first single, "For Gore And Country." Offers Gustafsson, "'For Gore and Country' charges forward relentlessly just like the rotting hordes in the lyrics do. Starting off with a classic VOMITORY grind, then diving headfirst into a total headbanging party, to then take off again into grind and D-beat turmoil. Oh wait! Another headbanging party towards the end of the song! For gore and country, we endure!"

Die ukrainische Atmospheric-Black-Metal-Band DRUDKH kündigt ihre kommende EP „Thaw“ mit der Veröffentlichung der ersten Single „Memory“ an. Entstanden in denselben Sessions wie „Shadow Play“ (2025), knüpft die neue EP nahtlos an die emotionale und thematische Landschaft jenes Albums an.

„Memory“ markiert keinen Neuanfang, sondern führt die zuvor etablierte introspektive Richtung fort. Der gut siebenminütige Track entfaltet sich mit bedächtigem Tempo und anhaltender Atmosphäre. Sein Titel suggeriert eher Beharrlichkeit als Nostalgie, eine emotionale Spur, die unterschwellig präsent bleibt. Schwebende Melodien und zurückhaltende Wiederholungen treiben die Komposition voran und spiegeln das zentrale Thema der EP wider: das Auftauen als fragilen Übergang.

„Thaw“ ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes als Übergangsveröffentlichung zu verstehen. Aufgenommen in derselben kreativen Phase wie „Shadow Play“, teilt sie dessen Geist und Atmosphäre und fungiert eher als destillierter Anhang denn als eigenständiges Werk.

„The Atrophied“ ist die neueste Single der US-amerikanischen Death-Metal-Band MONSTROSITY. Der kompromisslose Song stammt vom Album „Screams From Beneath The Surface“, das am 13. März bei Metal Blade Records erscheint.

Die zweite Single aus Screams From Beneath The Surface, „The Atrophied“, ist der erste für das Album geschriebene Titel und bietet eine intensive Reise durch den Extreme Metal.

Elaborates Harrison, "'The Atrophied' contains all the hallmarks of a classic MONSTROSITY song. From the opening drum rolls and Mark Van Erp's spiraling bass intro, it surges forward with ferocious blasting energy, then weaves through a dynamic landscape of devastating riffs and intricate rhythmic shifts. This was an important song for us to get right, and I feel the guys really pulled through with this one. Our new vocalist Ed Webb commands the storm, shifting seamlessly from guttural depths to razor sharp highs and lending the performance a gripping, almost cinematic intensity. Matt Barnes unleashes chaotic and spiraling melodic runs that echo the band's most iconic moments, with additional crushing guitar work by Justin Walker. I aimed to craft the lyrics as a haunting narrative of decay and collapse, perfectly framed by the forceful and punishing production from Audiohammer and Morrisound Studios. 'The Atrophied' delivers MONSTROSITY at our most direct and ferocious!"

Adds Barnes, "'The Atrophied' came together through our usual working method, but it delivered an unexpected result in the end. Lee brought the song to the table in a stripped down, skeletal form. We spent a lot of time sending demos back and forth, adding transitions, tweaking riffs, changing a few notes… the usual. But something happened along the way. Once we finished writing it and everyone had their parts locked in, when we finally played it all together, it felt more like an epic saga than just another death metal song. 'The Atrophied' may be the most musically and emotionally complex song MONSTROSITY has ever recorded. Don't get me wrong, we've had songs that were more complex in terms of pure technical nuts and bolts, real fretboard acrobatics, but those tracks are usually locked into one mood, one color. 'The Atrophied' for me, carries the feel of a 15-minute Rush or Iron Maiden epic, yet it's tightly condensed, unpretentious, and, as always, unabashedly death metal."
