Weiß nicht wer das in den News so mitbekommen hat.... 
Keine guten News aus dem Hause Torture Squad, Vitor Rodrigues der charismatische Sänger der Brasilianischen Thrasher wird nach über 19 Jahren leider die Band verlassen und sich anderen Projekten widmen.
Hier das Statement von Viktor und der Band:
After 19 years, six studio albums, one live album with a live dvd and several tours in Brazil, South America and Europe, vocalist Vitor Rodrigues left the band.
Vitor comments about his departure:
“After long reflection I've made the difficult decision to leave Torture Squad. I had 19 years of fantastic experiences with very talented people, but sometimes you have to take certain decisions, and not be afraid to face new challenges. Obviously I'll not stop doing music and soon I hope to be on stage with another band. To my former colleagues I wish them all the best.”
Note from the band:
"After our show in Brasilia, Vitor asked for a meeting, where he told us his intention to leave the group and explained his reasons. He told us that he had decided to seek new horizons in his professional life and that now would be the ideal time for us all as we are just on the verge of recording our new Studio album. And if this really is for his own happiness, we respect his decision and wish him all the best in his new projects.
As for us Torture, we shall continue with the same passion in playing and writing as we always did.
A little over a year, more precisely in January 2011, André Evaristo joined the band unleashing riffs and ideas at the band's rehearsals, mixing it between old songs and some unreleased material, the outcome of it is that we have now fourteen brand new songs which we will pick out ten of them for the new album , At the moment we are putting final details before going in pre production mode. After that, the recording of our seventh studio album will begin.
We've chosen to remain as a trio with Andre taking the vocals duties and doing Castor supporting as always. We are already rehearsing in this setup for some time and his voice is fitting every time better with the music.
In regard to future plans, they remain all the same. As said before, we will record the pre-production in July, the proper album between October and November and as a power trio that will make the next and very important shows of our career, which will be the festival "Metal Open Air" in São Luiz do Maranhão (22/04), with "Anthrax" and "Misfits" in São Paulo (27/04), and for the first time in "Palmas" (TO) as the main attraction in "Tendencies Festival" (12/05).
You can be sure that we'll keep going strong playing our music with the same energy as always and we hope our fans to come along into this new chapter of "Torture”.

Kann mir das ohne den guten Viktor gar nicht so recht vorstellen, schon gar nicht als Trio .... ohne die Frontwutz fehlt da doch was.

Das ist wirklich sehr schade. Der Kerl ist auf der Bühne eine ähnlich geile Frontsau wie Barney von Napalm Death. Das mit dem Trio stell ich mir auch interessant vor, wobei das bei Krisiun ja auch funktioniert, sehr gut sogar. Wir werden sehen und hören was das gibt.
