NEW ALBUM RECORDING:
As of June 2013, eleven new songs have been written for a brand new full length studio album. Drum tracks for a pre-production demo have recently been completed. Mark English has begun laying down guitar tracks and he is about 3 songs deep into it right now. The band hopes to wrap the demo up pretty quickly, and then they will be ready to book time in the studio. Vocalist, Mike Hrubovcak, has completed lyrics for approximately five songs and Lee Harrison will join him in the next few weeks and help finish the lyrics. The songs are coming together the way the band hoped they would and Monstrosity are looking forward to creating another timeless death metal classic. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Kingdom Of Fire", "Radiated", "Cosmic Pandemia" and "Solar Vacuum" and more!!

MONSTROSITYs Lee Harrison kommentiert das Album wie folgt: "Zunächst einmal möchte ich euch das Meisterwerk aller Meisterwerke im Monstrosity Universum präsentieren. Diese Album verlangt allerdings nach einer gewissen Gerechtigkeit und deshalb möchte ich euch, die Hörer, darum bitten, ihm diese Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Spielt diese Aufnahme nicht auf einem billigen Ghettoblaster oder über mickrige Kopfhörer ab, das Album wurde dafür geschaffen, laut auf einem Mördersystem abgespielt zu werden. Tut euch diesen Gefallen, zumindest bei den ersten paar Durchläufen. Ich weiß, es ist ein dämliches Klischee zu sagen, "spielt das Album laut ab", aber ich kann guten Gewissens sagen, dass es das wert ist. Hört es euch auch mehrfach an, diese Songs werden live sehr gut funktionieren und wir können es kaum erwarten, sie für euch zu performen. Ich freue mich schon auf die Reaktionen! Das Feedback der Fans auf den Teaserclip war hervorragend und jetzt freue ich mich auf eure Meinungen zu unserer ersten Single. Endlich bekommen wir etwas zurück für die Jahre harter Arbeit. Ich hoffe wir sehen uns bald on the road!"
Schlagzeuger Lee Harrison fand sich mit dem erfahrenen Produzenten Jason Suecof in den Audiohammer Studios in Sanford in Florida ein, um im Laufe einer Woche seine fetten Schlagzeugspuren aufzunehmen. Die Gitarren und der Bass wurden im Ascension Sound in Tampa eingespielt, die Vocals in Obituarys Redneck Studios in Gibsonton festgehalten. Produzent Mark Lewis (u.a. Megadeth) mischte die Songs ab, die nun am 7. September unter dem Titel 'The Passage Of Existence' erscheinen werden und nichts weniger sind als Death Metal in Perfektion für die Jetztzeit, geschaffen von einem der Fackelträger dieser extremen Musikrichtung. MONSTROSITY sind stärker denn je und fahren auf ihre ureigene Art fort, Chaos in akustischer Form zu stiften!

Dieses fulminante Album – ihr erstes seit sieben Jahren – präsentiert die für die Band typische Mischung aus Aggression, technischer Präzision und Intensität. Screams From Beneath The Surface was crafted with meticulous attention to detail, reflecting Harrison's monstrous vision and the band's seamless chemistry. The recording process spanned multiple studios to achieve sonic perfection. Drums, bass, and mixing were handled at Audiohammer Studios under the expert guidance of producer Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder, Deicide, Job For A Cowboy), while vocals, guitars, and mastering took place at the legendary Morrisound Studios, where MONSTROSITY reunited with revered producer Jim Morris (Iced Earth, Warrant, Savatage), alongside Mark Prator and BJ Ramone. This combination of cutting-edge and classic production techniques ensure a punishing sound that is honoring the band's storied history while embracing modern death metal's evolution. The album's striking cover art, created by artist Timbul Cahyono, is a wholly organic creation, free from AI or computer-generated renderings, embodying the raw, authentic spirit of MONSTROSITY's music.
In advance of the record's release, today the band unleashes first single, "The Colossal Rage." The track hits hard and gets right to the point. This straightforward song delivers a barrage of riffs with a monstrous attitude. New MONSTROSITY vocalist, Ed Webb, unleashes a punishing performance including some monumental screams. 'A pedestal for a king to rise' indeed. Van Erp's bass relentlessly pummels throughout, complemented by Barnes' impressive lead guitar work. Harrison wrote the original themes for the song and collaborated with Barnes to elevate it to the next level. The lyrics are unforgiving and dominating, sparing no living creature. Fully intended to roll over the listener like a bulldozer.

Elaborates Harrison, "'The Atrophied' contains all the hallmarks of a classic MONSTROSITY song. From the opening drum rolls and Mark Van Erp's spiraling bass intro, it surges forward with ferocious blasting energy, then weaves through a dynamic landscape of devastating riffs and intricate rhythmic shifts. This was an important song for us to get right, and I feel the guys really pulled through with this one. Our new vocalist Ed Webb commands the storm, shifting seamlessly from guttural depths to razor sharp highs and lending the performance a gripping, almost cinematic intensity. Matt Barnes unleashes chaotic and spiraling melodic runs that echo the band's most iconic moments, with additional crushing guitar work by Justin Walker. I aimed to craft the lyrics as a haunting narrative of decay and collapse, perfectly framed by the forceful and punishing production from Audiohammer and Morrisound Studios. 'The Atrophied' delivers MONSTROSITY at our most direct and ferocious!"
Adds Barnes, "'The Atrophied' came together through our usual working method, but it delivered an unexpected result in the end. Lee brought the song to the table in a stripped down, skeletal form. We spent a lot of time sending demos back and forth, adding transitions, tweaking riffs, changing a few notes… the usual. But something happened along the way. Once we finished writing it and everyone had their parts locked in, when we finally played it all together, it felt more like an epic saga than just another death metal song. 'The Atrophied' may be the most musically and emotionally complex song MONSTROSITY has ever recorded. Don't get me wrong, we've had songs that were more complex in terms of pure technical nuts and bolts, real fretboard acrobatics, but those tracks are usually locked into one mood, one color. 'The Atrophied' for me, carries the feel of a 15-minute Rush or Iron Maiden epic, yet it's tightly condensed, unpretentious, and, as always, unabashedly death metal."
