Die Stockholmer Black/Death-Metal-Band SPEGLAS hat ihr Debütalbum „Endarkenment, Being & Death“ angekündigt, das am 27. Februar 2026 über Trust No One Recordings erscheint.
Mit der Ankündigung veröffentlichte die Band auch die erste Single „The Spirit Postmortem“, die den Hörern einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf den düsteren, immersiven Sound des Albums gibt.

Vocalist and guitarist Isak Rosemarin shares: "'The Spirit Postmortem' is not only a track from the album, but also part of the albums overarching concept, influenced by Nietzschean philosophy. The song takes the idea of the death of the collective human spirit, the collapse of meaning and the fading drive to move forward and upward, and mirrors it to the biological stages of the dying human body. Sonically, it has a melancholic and desperate feel to it, while being driving, intense and aggressive".

Nach der Veröffentlichung der ersten Single „The Spirit Postmortem“ erkundet „Dearth“ weiterhin das übergeordnete Konzept des Albums und vertieft dessen philosophische und spirituelle Themen.

Vocalist and guitarist Isak Rosemarin comments: "The second single entitled 'Dearth' from our upcoming debut album 'Endarkenment, Being & Death' is much like the first single 'The Spirit Postmortem' a part of the overarching concept of the album itself. 'Dearth' deals with a kind of spiritual famine within the human being. In other words a lack or scarcity of values, aim and therefore meaning. Or in Nietzschean terms, which the album holds as a main inspiration - any answer to the question 'why' is lacking. The song itself has a bit more weight to it then the rest."
