Die aus Houston, Texas stammenden Black-Metal-Meister und Neuzugänge bei Metal Blade Records, NECROFIER, veröffentlichen am 27. Februar 2026 ihr neues, feuriges Album „Transcend Into Oblivion“.
NECROFIER schreiben die Regeln des Genres neu. Seit 2018 verbindet das Quartett die feurige Intensität Texas' mit der eisigen Atmosphäre Norwegens Mitte der 90er-Jahre, und „Transcend Into Oblivion“ präsentiert ihre Arbeitsweise mit mehr Kraft, Ãœberzeugung und Einfallsreichtum als je zuvor. NECROFIER erschaffen hier einen modernen Klassiker des Genres, in dem stürmische Ausbrüche extremer Härte von finsteren, melancholischen und entrückten Melodien unterbrochen werden, die wie Irrlichter in der Dunkelheit funkeln.

"This album really ended up where I always wanted us to go," vocalist/guitarist Bakka reflects. "It also had me digging deeper into the journey, into myself and basically everything to get it here. I felt the way the record makes you sound. Sometimes surrounded in chaos and sometimes in moments of accession. I really like what we did on the previous album, but it doesn't compare to what we have accomplished on the new one."
