Enthroned`s neues Album "Sovereigns" kommt im April, und wenn man dem ersten Vorabtrack vertrauen darf dann erwartet uns Grosses!!!!
Belgian black metal masters ENTHRONED premiere a brand new song entitled "Of Feathers And Flames". It is the first song to be revealed from ENTHRONED's upcoming 10th album, "Sovereigns".
The follow up to the critically acclaimed "Obsidium" (2012) is scheduled for a worldwide April 15th release via Agonia Records. "Sovereigns" drifts from sonic blast beats to oppressive slower parts, melds together aggressive shredding with forceful riffs, and blends satanic whispers with Nornagest's trademark vocals. On the whole, band's 10th album feels coherent and offers first-rate black metal. The album introduces a new drummer, Menthor, in the place of Garghuf and a new rhythm guitarist ZarZax.
"Sovereigns" was recorded and mixed in ENTHRONED’s own studio, Blackout Multimedia. The album will be available in: digipack CD, black vinyl, bone-white vinyl with green splatter limited to 100 hand numbered copies and exclusive BOX CD limited to 333 hand numbered copies (including: the new album released in exclusive jewelcase edition, embroidered patch (8cmx10cm), flag (42cmx59.4cm) and a lighter with band's logo).

Die belgische Black Metal Band ENTHRONED wird ihr Demotape von 1994 erstmals auf Vinyl re-releasen. Erscheinen soll das gute Stück im Herbst 2021 und einiges an Bonusmaterial enthalten, dabei auch exklusive Interviews mit Nornagest, Sabathan und Tsebaoth.
Das Vinyl Release wurde vorgezogen auf Juli. Parallel zur LP wird es auf Deviant Records eine CD Version des Promo 94 tapes geben, mit 36 Seiten Booklet, welches alte Fotos, Flyer und die 3 Interviews erhalten wird. Mehr Infos dazu später.

Verdichtet in viereinhalb Minuten kontrollierten Chaos verkörpert der Song die zentrale Doktrin des Albums: spirituelle Zerstörung als Katalysator für Transzendenz.
Driven by Menthor’s blinding percussion and Kaos’s serpentine riffing, “Ashspawn” oscillates between feral speed and precise rhythmic control. The production’s overwhelming density evokes ritual combat—each dissonant chord and blast beat colliding as a deliberate act of annihilation and rebirth. Nornagest’s vocals, both incantation and condemnation, channel the lyrical core of the piece: “I am God’s scourge of defeat, the semen in His eye.” What begins as a hymn of ruin resolves into declaration: Et Verbum Caro Factum Est—“And the Word became Flesh.”
Die belgische Black-Metal-Institution ENTHRONED schlägt mit der Veröffentlichung ihrer neuesten Single „Raviasamin“ vom kommenden Album Ashspawn ein neues Kapitel auf. Das Album entstand in sechs Jahren ritueller Arbeit und erscheint als Autopsie und Wiederauferstehung zugleich: ein Abstieg in den spirituellen Tod, gefolgt von der Sublimation zur Wiedergeburt.
Raviasamin functions as a gateway into this metaphysical architecture. At once chant and curse, the track traverses frostbitten riffing, serpentine invocations, and violent rhythmic surges. Its four and a half minutes embody Enthroned’s doctrine: blinding velocity counterbalanced by sculpted mid-tempo marches, guitars oscillating between jagged dissonance and choir-like resonance, and drums fracturing time with both blast-driven intensity and processional weight.
Lyrically, Raviasamin summons arcane forces: serpents, shattered silence, the “backwards tree.” These images tie directly into Ashspawn’s conceptual core of ritual negation and transformation, framing the song as a linguistic and sonic weapon designed to unsettle and reforge rather than merely entertain.
The accompanying video extends these esoteric themes into the visual realm. Conceived as an intersection between reality and digital unreality, the film was constructed entirely without generative tools. Every element—robes, carvings, statues—was first hand-drawn, sculpted, or designed, then scanned and meticulously reconstructed within Unreal Engine. Central figures include a 3D rendering of Belial, drawn from Jose Gabriel Alegria Sambogal’s album artwork, and a hand-drawn qlippothic tree, brought to life through digital animation. The result is a visual ritual: a passage through shadows where material craft and digital sorcery converge.
