Am 24. Januar 2012 wird das neue OPERA IX Album namens "Strix Maledictae in Aeternum" bei Agonia Records erscheinen. Es ist das erste Album seit nach 7 Jahren. Es wird als Digipack CD oder 12" Doppel LP erhältlich sein. Die Lp Version ist allerdings limitiert auf 400 Exemplare im schwarzen Vinyl und 100 Exemplare in goldenem Vinyl.

Die drei Vorgängeralben werden als Rerelease bei Peaceville erscheinen.
"Strix Maledictae in Aeternum" schliesst die ‘Witchcraft Trilogy’, welche 2002 mit dem Maleventum Album begann.
