LIK, die modernen Lieferanten des klassischen schwedischen Death Metal, kehren mit ihrem vierten Album „Necro“ am 18. April über Metal Blade Records glorreich in die Action zurück.Mit den zehn Tracks von Necro hat LIK ein nahtloses Album geschaffen, das abwechslungsreich im Tempo ist, aber nichts von der blutgetränkten Intensität und der unerbittlichen, direkten Haltung einbüßt, die die Hörer erwarten. Es gibt Wendungen, die LIK auf einem progressiven Weg halten, ohne von ihren typischen Old-School-Sounds abzuweichen, die von den Paten Dismember, At The Gates und natürlich Entombed inspiriert sind.
"We didn't really want to repeat ourselves, but of course we wanted the LIK sound," explains Åkvik on the writing trajectory of Necro.
In advance of the record's release, Lik unleashes first single, "War Praise." Åkvik elaborates, "We had to write this track before we could even start working on the new album. A LIK track that felt just like LIK but with enough new stuff to make it interesting for us. Sadly enough the world is still plagued by wars so we had to write about the horrors of it."
