During the summer of 2010 Belgian death metal warmongers BATTALION part ways with drummer Erre Schellekens, who we'd like to thank for years of comraderie and dedication. The squad is proud however, to recruit new hard-pounding skin beater Kevin De Leener. Our new blacksmith is well known in the metal scene from his work with death metal blastmasters Emeth and former participations with Suhrim, Gorath, Fleshmould and others.

Without doubt, this 5-piece incarnation of the the band (Ruben Luts: vocals, Kristof Hectors: bass, Pieter van de Putte: guitars, Igor Duerloo: guitars, Kevin De Leener: drums) is the strongest line-up to date and will mark a new era for Battalion. Expect BATTALION to produce more high quality, old school oriented death metal inspired by the horrors of war and ongoing global conflict.
