Die britische Death-Metal-Formation The Bleeding meldet sich mit „Altar of the Ram“ zurück – der ersten Single aus ihrem kommenden Album *Godless Communion* und einem vernichtenden Auftakt für die neue Ära der Band.

Nach dem Ausstieg ihres langjährigen Sängers Germ haben The Bleeding den renommierten britischen Death-Metal-Vokalisten Craig Land – vor allem bekannt durch seine Arbeit mit De Profundis – als neuen Frontmann verpflichtet. Während *Godless Communion* eine Brücke zwischen der Vergangenheit und der Zukunft der Band schlägt, gewährt „Altar of the Ram“ einen ersten echten Einblick in das, was diese neue Inkarnation von The Bleeding zu bieten hat.

Mit „Altar of the Ram“ verkünden The Bleeding ohne Umschweife ihre Rückkehr. Angetrieben von vernichtenden Riffs, unerbittlicher Percussion und einer Atmosphäre voller Bedrohung und Feindseligkeit, bildet der Song den perfekten Rahmen für den Einstand von Craig Land. Seine imposante Darbietung verleiht dem ohnehin schon gewaltigen Sound der Band eine neue Dosis Giftigkeit und Wildheit, ohne dabei den unbändigen Geist zu verraten, der The Bleeding von Anfang an ausgezeichnet hat.

"When Tasos approached me about joining The Bleeding, and having spoken to him about his vision for the band, I jumped at the opportunity.
