HEXBANE, ein neues Extreme-Metal-Kollektiv mit Mitgliedern von Necromantia, Emperor, Rotting Christ und Electric Wizard, hat seine Debütsingle samt Video „Nefarious Spells“ veröffentlicht. Die mit Spannung erwartete 7-Zoll-EP der Band, „From Hell“, kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden; die Veröffentlichung erfolgt gemeinsam über The Circle Music und Hell’s Fire Records.
Durchdrungen von der düsteren Mythologie des frühen Extreme Metal, beschwört „Nefarious Spells“ eine Atmosphäre aus Schwefelrauch, stygischen Psalmen und Obsidianklingen herauf. Der Song liefert einen Sound, der die Gründungsära des Genres würdigt.

Regarding the song, the band added: “This is the first song of HEXBANE coming to light! Our driving force is our love for old-school Black metal, the music we grew up with. We think that "Nefarious Spells" is a fine specimen of this attitude: old school but not retro! Rejoice!"
