Die polnische Black-Metal-Formation Piołun ist mit ihrem zweiten Studioalbum „Exolvuntur“ zurückgekehrt, das ab sofort über Malignant Voices erhältlich ist.

Auf „Exolvuntur“ bleibt Piołun tief von den skandinavischen und polnischen Black-Metal-Szenen der 90er-Jahre inspiriert, verleiht dem Ganzen jedoch eine raffinierte, zeitgemäße Note. Das Album folgt auf das 2022 erschienene Debüt der Band, „Rzeki Goryczy“.
“Stylistically, it is a continuation of the preceding ‘Rzeki Goryczy’; however, it presents black metal that is more dynamic and melodic,” said the band’s founder, Sorh. “The album's concept revolves around the cycle of life and death, referring to human transience in the face of ruthless nature. ‘Exolvuntur’ is a 37-minute journey where the wildness of traditional black metal intertwines with nostalgia and melancholy.
