Das Old-School-Death-Metal-Quartett ANASARCA präsentiert mit der Veröffentlichung der neuen Single „Basket of Burdens“ einen zweiten Vorgeschmack auf ihr kommendes Album „ACHLYS“. Das Album erscheint im April über Selfmadegod Records.
Regarding the track, Mike Dormann said: "Basket of Burdens" is basen on "This Basket of Burdens" poem by Debbie, which is clearly intended as a poem of mourning, addressing both the gravity of the loss
and the support offered by faith, community, and hope. The author, Debbie, otherwise remains anonymous, but the text stands out due to its powerful imagery and emotional depth—particularly through the metaphor of the basket.
However, the ANASARCA song version omits all spiritual and religious aspects.
