 Die ostfriesischen Deather von Temple of Dread hauen demnächst ihr neues Album "World Sacrifice" heraus. Das neue Album erscheint am 24.Juli über Testimony Records!
Das Album entält acht neue Songs und das Morgoth Cover "Sold Baptism", veredelt wird das gute Stück von einem Artwork des amerikanischen Künstlers Jesse Peper.

TEMPLE OF DREAD was spawned in 2017 by guitarist/bassist Markus Bünnemeyer and his school friend Frank Albers (lyrics). Along with drummer/producer Jörg Uken (Soundlodge Studios) and vocalist Jens Finger (Slaughterday) the first full-length album “Blood Craving Mantras” was already recorded in late 2018 and released in 2019.

 Die deutschen Death Metaller TEMPLE OF DREAD kündigen stolz ihr viertes Album mit dem Titel „Beyond Acheron“ an!
Der Nachfolger des hochgelobten „Hades Unleashed“ erscheint am 11. August 2023 über Testimony Records auf verschiedenen LP-Versionen, CD und digital. Produziert wurde das Album von Schlagzeuger Jörg Uken in seinem renommierten Soundlodge Studio und enthält ein Coverartwork des italienischen Künstlers Paolo Girardi.
Ausgehend von ihrer brutalen Death-Metal-Basis haben sich TEMPLE OF DREAD auf die filmischen Aspekte ihres Sounds konzentriert. Auf „Beyond Acheron“ haben die Ostfriesen weitere düstere und schwere Parts sowie eine ordentliche Prise Melancholie hinzugefügt – und sogar Black-Metal-inspirierte Momente. Für ein pikantes Extra sorgen Gastbeiträge des ehemaligen MORGOTH- und INSIDIOUS-DISEASE-Sängers Marc Grewe und GOD DETHRONED's Henri Sattler.

Guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer states: “Our first single "The Plague" starts very groovy but ignites the full charge of old school death metal in the chorus at the latest. Our singer Jens is supported by Marc Grewe on vocals. Without his early works Temple Of Dread would not sound like they do today. Interesting how similar and complementary the two voices are. Lyrically the song deals with The Plague of Athens: An epidemic that destroyed man from within and thereby carried off almost a whole civilization. Parallels to modern pandemics would be coincidental... The lyrics were visualized by Ecuadorian director Christian Kdrumworm (k-drumworm-media) with great attention to the details of the incredible artwork by Paolo Girardi!”

Klingt wirklich sehr nah an Death (wie oben schon erwähnt). Guter Song auch wenn ich nicht der große Death-Fan bin.

Guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer states: "'World Below' tells the tragic story of drowning Icarus. It’s a story of fatal boldness and haughtiness. Musically, the song shows a new side of Temple Of Dread, especially in the middle part: More melodies, less speed, infinitely desperate vocals and even symphonic arrangements underline the hopeless and threatening mood of the lyrics. Some parts are rhythmically unusual for us, but at the latest in the final part there is Temple Of Dread in its purest form again! Enjoy the video (which was once again very atmospherically visually implemented by Christian Kdrumworm)."
