After 24 years, eight albums and hundreds of live shows across 30 countries, we have finally come to the end of the road. We in the band -Tobias, Urban, Erik and Peter - have made the collective decision to end Vomitory by the end of 2013. It has been a blast on all accounts, but all good things come to to an end, and for Vomitory it is now.
We will still play as many shows as possible during 2013, and we hope to see as many of you fans as possible there, so we can thank you for your true support during all these years!

Das ist aber mehr als schade. Dann müssen die dieses Jahr auch noch für einen gebührenden Abschluss auf's Party San.

Fxxk ! Um die Band ist es mehr als schade. Eine der besten, vielleicht sogar DIE beste, Bands im Bereich des Schwedentods. Eine Box mit allen Scheiben mit evtl zusätzlichem Livescheibchen in einem geilen Look wäre ein kleiner Trost...

Eigentlich fehlt mir nur noch die "Redemption"... bräuchte dann wohl eher keine Box *g*
Junge, heute donnern hier "Carnage Euphoria" und "Opus Mortis" im Wechsel aus den Boxen. Mit solchen letzten Hammeralben abzutreten ist schon frech. Ich wollte eigentlich schon mehr davon.
Das Ende von VOMITORY wird auf jeden Fall einen tiefen Krater im Death Metal hinterlassen.

Meine Fresse! Da habe ich mal wieder absolut nix mitgekriegt. Da läuft bei mir erst mal "Redemption" als Trauermusik. Die Death Metal Szene ist um eine ihrer besten Bands ärmer. R.I.P. Vomitory!

" OPUS MORTIS VIII " rotiert hier seit gestern wieder heftigst. Was für ein Gerät ! Ich kann es nur immer wieder wiederholen: VOMITORY sind der Hammer gewesen. Man weiß hier ja ,daß ich nicht soo der Schwedentodfixierte bin,nä... von den "Ahnen" ENTOMBED & DISMEMBER haben mir über all die Jahre die Debütscheiben gereicht; wirklich verfolgt / gesammelt werden bei mir nur:1. VOMITORY
2. FLESHCRAWL
3. PUTERAEON
Und an meinen Schätzchen von FERAL will ich auch dranbleiben, da sollte doch auch bald mal ein neues Scheibchen kommen.
PUTERAEON sind im Zuge meiner erneuten VOMITORY - Begeisterung die Tage auch wieder auf den Plattenteller gewandert; die Band hat einen verdammt geilen Punch und das dritte Album kommt mr jetzt gerade recht.
So richtig beerben kann VOMITORY aber eigentlich niemand, find ich.

Leider! Aber wenn uns mal richtig der Apfel auf'm Festival juckt, wissen wir ja was in den Bimbomat muss! Die "Carnage Euphoria" ist immer noch ein feuchter Traum

Wobei ich persönlich die Terrorize, Brutalize, Sodomize immer noch am stärksten finde.Putraeon kommen Vomitory schon recht nahe, aber keiner kann sie bisher ersetzen.

Gerade die letzten Alben sind mal großartigst geworden. Wobei ich sowohl die "Carnage Euphoria" - Feuchtträumerei als auch die "Terrorize..." - Präferenz befürworte und den Dreier gleich noch mit dem letzten Werk auffülle.Und PUTERAEON sind außer VOMITORY und FLESHCRAWL die einzige Band im Schwedenbereich, von denen ich mir brav jedes Album zulege.

For 24 years swedish death metal legends Vomitory laid waste to stages all over the world and released eight successful albums before laying down their arms in 2013.
In 2017 they reunited for one show to honor an old friend. The band had such a good time playing again that the thought of future battles together started to grow like a seed in blood drenched soil. 2019 will mark the 30:th anniversary of Vomitorys supreme death metal and prove to be the perfect year to celebrate by wreaking havok to stages all over the planet again. Death Metal Supremacy!

In jedem ernsthaften Gespräch über Death Metal muss der Name VOMITORY fallen. Nach ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1989 veröffentlichten sie zwischen 1996 und 2011 acht der fulminantesten Alben, die das Genre hervorgebracht hat, und das Quartett trennte sich 2013. Der Rückzug der Band erwies sich jedoch nur von kurzer Dauer und die Band kehrte 2019 zur Feier des 30-jährige Jubiläum auf die Bühne zurück. Jetzt veröffentlichen sie ihr erstes neues Album seit zwölf Jahren, das monströse All Heads Are Gonna Roll.Einen ersten Eindruck vom neuen Album gibt HIER es mit dem neuen Song und Video zu All Heads Are Gonna Roll.
Boasting the classic VOMITORY sound with a few new twists and turns, it is everything their faithful could have hoped for, the band having taken their time before committing to it rather than rushing in. "We weren't feeling any pressure, it was rather about making a decision whether we should continue as a band, i.e. release new material, or simply put the band back in the grave again," explains drummer Tobias Gustafsson. "We wrote a few songs first just for the fun of it, to see if we still 'had it', before we made the final decision to continue and make a new full-length album."
All Heads Are Gonna Roll is best described as "fast, grinding, D-beat, fist-in-your-face death metal", it features fresh aspects that are uncommon to VOMITORY records. "One thing in particular we did was to try to build distinct choruses in the songs, which is something we didn't put too much effort into earlier," explains drummer Tobias Gustafsson. "We have also spent a lot more time working with the backing vocal arrangements, which we certainly think paid off very well. It brings something new to our sound. We have also tried to write more straightforward riffs, like we did in the early 2000s."
The instruments for the record were tracked in the band's rehearsal space, on a mobile studio setup engineered by Mats Lindström, and was self-produced. This allowed them to work at their own pace in the hours that worked for them, rather than having this dictated to them as would be the case if they had rented a studio. "Although we had a lot of flexibility to choose our working hours, it was still crucial to keep the recording schedule as strict as possible, because it was so easy to say 'let's do it tomorrow instead'." For vocals, they went to Leon Music Studios and engineer Rikard Löfgren, which was where they recorded their last three albums. They brought in good friend Christian Fredriksson (Vulkan) to play some guitar solos, but otherwise it is entirely their own work. With vivid horror movie-inspired artwork - with a hint of anti-religion thrown in for good measure - All Heads Are Gonna Roll really is the whole package for death metal fans, and a stunning return to form after so many years between releases.
