One of Europe’s most true underground Death Metal festivals will return in 2012! If you were here the last years, you know you have to go again. If you weren’t, you really don’t want to miss it again!The 2012 edition will be held 31st August – 2nd September in UNGDOMSHUSET at Dortheavej 61 in Copenhagens Northwest quarter.
The festival will be a 4-day event, with a warm up show Thursday 30th August at Loppen in Copenhagen’s freetown Christiania. The festival will present 25 international acts, metal DJs, good cheap quality beer, vegan food stalls, horror-movie screenings, distro-area and outdoor hang-out space.
Upon request we have chosen to add an extra day to the festival. The extra day will be a theme/concept Sunday we have chosen to call “Gloomy Sunday”. We will make a chilling Sunday in our smaller venue called “Dödsmaskinen” (translated “Death-machine”) with 5 doom death / funeral doom bands plus a variety of snacks, drinks and other goodies to make it a nice, slow and heavy Sunday.

Da sind schon mal ein paar krasse Dinger am Start 
Hoffe mal, das es bei mir in diesem Jahr klappt, hab so viel positives über das Kill Town bisher gehört, da muss man einfach mal hin

KTDF is proud and honoured to present one of the founding bands of Death Metal, the legendary MASTER! MASTER was formed in Chicago, USA in the early 1980´ies by Paul Speckman and is considered one of the main bands to have shaped Death Metal into what it is today. Many great DM bands owes a lot of their inspirations to the early material of this band. Paul Speckman has since years been living in the Czech Republic and MASTER has continued with a different lineup, but still as uncompromising as ever, holding the Death Metal Banner high.

Da hab ich noch nichts von gehört. In Kopenhagen? Das is mein Fluchtort vor der Fastnacht dieses Jahr, Zufälle gibts..Von den Bands her müsste ich mich ma in die meisten reinhören. Ich werds auch ma im Auge behalten!

KTDF is once again pleased to present one of Finlands new hopes on the metal sky; doom/deathmetallers, SWALLOWED! These youngsters from the land of the thousand lakes plays grim, slow-moving doomy Death Metal with elements of heavy Autopsy-worship. With two demos and a 7″ behind them plus a full lengt in the making to be released on Detest Records and Me Saco Un Ojo, SWALLOWED is a band on the rise. Updates:Two new announcements for KTDF 2012: General Surgery (Swe) and Zom (irl).
KTDF is proud to announce another addition to the 2012 lineup; This band needs no introduction, so for all you fans of the oldschool Swedish sound and Carcass-worshipping freaks we give you swedish Death Metal Grindcore legends, General Surgery. General Surgery has been around since 1988 and they’ve had their fair share of lineup changes, including appearances from members of fellow Stockholm residents Regurgitate and Dismember. They are currently featuring members and ex-members of Crucifyre, Birdflesh and Entrails.
Another addition to the KTDF 2012 lineup is Irish newcomers, Zom. Zom has recently released their first demo through the mighty Invictus Productions and it sold out straight away. Zom plays raw, dirty, dark, occult Death Metal, inspired by the likes of Necrovore, Beherit, Obscurity and demo-era Death and could be compared to newer bands like Venenum and Grave Miasma. So expect the Irish zombies to rise from the sewers at KTDF 2012…

We are back from the grave with some KTDF updates. We have some bad news and some good news...
Lets start with the bad news; we are sorry to announce that INCANTATION (us) has decided to back out of their participation at Kill-Town Death Fest 2012. A statement from the band will be issued soon.
We are of course very sad to bring this cancellation, but we have done our best to find you a worthy replacement.
Therefore we are proud and honored to present to you;

So here we are with the last 3 line-up announcements to complete the KTDF 2012 line-up: NECROCURSE (swe), MOLD (dk) and CHAOS ECHOES – duo experience (fr).KTDF is proud to present to you from Uddevalla, Sweden, NECROCURSE (swe)! Death Metal rebels NECROCURSE is featuring members and ex-members of such prominent acts such as Niefelheim, Runemagick, The Funeral Orchestra, Pagan Rites and Treblinka! NECROCURSE has 4 ep´s behind them and is currently writing material for a forthcoming album due to be recorded in autumn this year and released by Pulverized Records. Prepare for some pure swedish metal madness to be unleashed upon Kill-Town!

KTDF is also happy to welcome a new bastard son to the Danish OSDM fasmily; local newcomers MOLD! MOLD is a fairly new Copenhagen project with only 3 live performances behind them, playing pure stripped down low pitched Death Metal without any bullshit. They are currently mixing and finishing lay-out for their first demo to be released through Extremely Rotten Rocords ready for KTDF 2012. Last but not least we have a special announcement; as a bonus to this years line-up we are proud to present an act performing a special live-impro set outside the confinements of the running order of the stage appearances. We are glad and honored to present to you; Chaos Echoes – duo experience from France. Chaos Echoes were formed in 2011 out of the ashes of the brilliant Bloody Sign (RIP) and this will be a one and only performance by this outfit as a 2-piece. Their performance will be happening in Dødsmaskinen Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening and will take shape as a free-form impro doom/death ambient soundscabe including guitars, drums, percussions, horns, vocals, effects and more performed by the brothers Kalevi and Ilmar Uibo. Prepare for them to open the gates to the Unknown.
