Darüber hinaus ist Original-Drummer und Gründungsmitglied Jeramie Kling wieder in den Schoß der Band zurückgekehrt. Jeramie Kling und THE ABSENCE hatten sich nach dem anstrengenden Tourzyklus zur ersten Platte From Your Grave getrennt. Gitarrist Patrick Pintavalle freut sich: "We're so glad to have Jeramie back in the band. It feels right again." Die slowenischen Thrash-Könige NEGLIGENCE haben die Arbeiten an ihrem kommenden Werk Coordinates Of Confusion abgeschlossen.
Abgemischt wurde die Scheibe von Drummer Ruzz im bandeigenen Studio im Frühling 2010. Das Mastering hat Alan Douches im New Yorker West West Side Music erledigt.
"We're stunned by the result of the mixing and mastering and can't wait for you metalheads to hear it!", freut sich die Band.
Coordinates Of Confusion erscheint am 8./11. Oktober 2010 auf Metal Blade Records in Europa.
NEGLIGENCE wurden 2000 von Dyz und Jey gegründet, zwei exzellenten Slowenischen Gitarristen, welche die gleiche Leidenschaft für ihre Musik teilten. Schon bald fand man ein solides Line-Up, mit welchem man viele Shows in Slowenien absolvierte inklusive eines Gigs auf dem bekannten Metalcamp Festival. Zwischen 2003 und 2005 veröffentlichten NEGLIGENCE auch drei Demos.
2005 markierte den turning point in der Geschichte von NEGLIGENCE, als sich die Band von ihrem alten Sänger trennte und als Nachfolger den seinerzeit erst 15-jährigen Alex präsentierte. Die Band konnte ihre Anhängerschaft nun beständig ausbauen und 2007 veröffentlichten NEGLIGENCE in Eigenregie ihr Debüt 'Options Of A Trapped Mind'. Das Album öffnete der Band viele Türen und wurde sowohl von den Fans als auch der internationalen Presse überaus wohlwollend bedacht. Im Anschluß an die Veröffentlichung spielte die Band zahlreiche Supportgigs für Megabands wie Exodus, Forbidden, Heathen, Sadus und Death Angel, um nur einige zu nennen.
Ende 2009 trennten sich die Wege von Gründungsmitglied Dyz und dem Rest der Band. Am zweiten Album hat er aber noch mitgearbeitet. NEGLIGENCE haben kürzlich Ersatz an der Gitarre gefunden. Er hört auf den Namen Aljo und schraubt das Powerlevel, das diese Band live auszeichnet, nochmals.
Das Death Metal-Schwadron HAIL OF BULLETS hat sein zweites Studioalbum komplett eingespielt! Produziert von Ed Warby selbst, geht die neue Schlachteplatte mit ihren 11 Songs direkt zu Dan Swanö zum Mixen. Wenn alles klappt, erscheint das noch unbetitelte Album zwischen dem 8. - 11. Oktober!

Although 'Of Frost And War' is a tough act to follow, my ringing ears tell me we've succeeded in besting it on every level: songs, playing, production… at the moment Dan Swanö is putting the final touches on a mix that could squash a tank, and then it's off to the pressing plant! DARK FUNERAL Sänger "Masse" Broberg (oder auch Emperor Magus Caligula) gibt am 21. August auf dem Summer Breeze sein letztes Konzert! Ihr fragt euch warum? "Masse" gab an, dass sich sein Leben weiterentwickelt hat und er dieses Jahr noch heiraten werde. Streitigkeiten innerhalb der Band soll es aber nicht gegeben haben.

Naturally I have "mixed feelings" about this decision, but it is final!

As some people love to spread weird rumors about others, let me make this clear once and for all. I have not committed suicide, I have not taken an overdose, nor are there any personal issues between me and Dark Funeral.
However......!
My life has taken a new turn lately, and I am also getting married this year (NOT to some crazy bitch in the U.S though….Hahaha), whereof my priorities in life lie somewhere else.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of our fans for their amazing support during all the 15 years I’ve been with the band. And I would also like to thank my brothers in Dark Funeral for all these years together.
Lord Ahriman and I have managed to raise Dark Funeral from the deepest of abyss, when we have confronted problems before. And there is NO doubt in my mind, that Dark Funeral, without me, will raise once more, stronger than ever...
Caligula and I have shared some 15 kick ass years together. And I would naturally like to thank my brother for the amazing work he has done for Dark Funeral over all these years. It’s been a pleasure indeed working together. You will be missed deeply! But as with everything else, I understand when people change course and get new priorities in life. And I fully respect that. Life moves on after all, and so will DARK FUNERAL.
In the meantime, and while we’re searching for a new vocalist, the most logical thing for us to do, is obviously to enter writing mood. And that’s exactly what we’ll be doing. From now on and until we have found and installed a new killer vocalist we begin to work on a new full-length album. However, you can be rest assured that as soon as we have found a new vocalist, we’ll set full force, and continue to tour the world in usual Dark Funeral manner.

Dutch Doom Death Metal legends ASPHYX are back with another extremely energetic sign of life after their bonecrushing and highly acclaimed “Death…The Brutal Way” studio album comeback from 2009. “Live Death Doom” represents not only the band’s first official DVD release, but it will also be available as 2CD and Digital Download audio-release, actually marking ASPHYX’s first-ever official live album in their 20+ years of (diabolical) existence!

The “Live Death Doom” DVD features the previously an intense +2 hours main live-show recorded at the completely sold out Turock venue in Essen / Germany on July 4th, 2009 as well as an in-depth +1 hour historical band-documentary and tons of krushing additional bonus material. The total DVD playing time is approximately 225 minutes.
The main live show’s audio (which equals the CD format content) was mixed and mastered by producer Dan Swanö (Bloodbath, Edge Of Sanity, etc.), who had previously taken care of the sonic brilliance for the “Death…The Brutal Way” album. The total 2CD playing time is approximately 110 minutes.
The glorious old-school artwork for “Live Death Doom” (which can be seen on top!) was created by Axel Hermann, who had previously been responsible for the artworks of band’s classic releases from the 90’s. The DVD was coordinated and edited by Oliver “Bomber” Barth / www.visions-in-fear.de and will be released via Century Media Records in Europe on August 30th, 2010.

Auch wenn es dort um ein anderes Genre geht, so sollte doch niemand bei einem Musikfestival sterben müssen.
Die Sumerian Thrashing Black Metal Pioniere MELECHESH haben den Titel ihres fünften Albums bekanntgegeben: „The Epigenesis". Das Album wird elf Songs enthalten. „The Epigenesis" wurde im neu gebauten, erstklassigen Babajim Studio in Istanbul, Türkei aufgenommen und von Reuben de Lautour gemischt und von Pieter Snapper gemastert.
Bandkopf und Gründer Ashmedi kommentiert: „Wir ich früher bereits erwähnte, wollten wir der Norm trotzen und die Platte eher Osten aufnehmen, als in Mitteleuropa zu bleiben. Ein Grund dafür war die inspirierende Umgebung, die es in Istanbul gibt, ebenso wie das qualitativ hochwertige Studio. Diese Stadt war schon immer das Bindeglied zwischen Ost und West und hat außerdem eine lange Tradition, wenn es um Rockmusik geht. Es waren zwei Monate voller schweißtreibender Arbeit und sehr langen Tagen. Wir sind ein Risiko eingegangen und es hat sich bezahlt gemacht - das Ergebnis ist phänomenal! Die Produktion ist extrem dynamisch und sehr groß!
Das Album ist definitiv MELECHESH und wie auch schon die Vorgänger wieder einmal ganz anders. Als Band sind wir exakt dort, wo wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt stehen wollen. Das Album hat verschiedene Stimmungen - von sehr aggressiven, rohen Songs mit minimalistischen Riffs bis zu rituellen nahöstlichen Metal-Epen. Eines davon ist ein 12minütiger Song der mittelöstliche Musik, Psychedelic Rock und Metal verbindet. Auf einem Drittel des Albums haben wir 12saitige Gitaren für das Rhythmusriffing verwendet. Außerdem gibt es zwei Instrumentals mit ebenfalls anderen Stimmungsfarben eingebaut.
Textlich geht es auf dem Album um verschiedene Themen des MELECHESH-Universums - sumerische/mesopotamische/anunakische Thematiken, aber auch okkulte nahöstliche und kosmologische Philosophien und Ideen. Ohnehin sind aber auch die Texte zweideutig und können zu einem gewissen Punkt auch auf das eigene Leben umgemünzt werden - aber das obliegt jedem einzelnen. Zusätzlich haben wir auch einige traditionelle Instrumente verwendet, so z.B. Baglama Saz, Tanbour, Persian Santur, Ney, Indian Sitar, Azeri Tar, Bindir - allerdings wurden all diese Instrumente eher subtil eingebunden, schließlich ist das Album Metal... Sumerian Thrashing Black Metal.
Die neue DVD und Live-CD "Live Death Doom" wird in Kürze über Century Media erscheinen, gefilmt wurde unter anderem die Hammershow im Turock in Essen welche über 2 Stunden ging. Außerdem wird die DVD eine ASPHYX Historie und jede Menge Bonus Material enthalten.

Fred Estby der ehemalige Dismember / Carnage Drummer hat mit einigen Gastsängern diverser Bands sein eigenes musikalisches Armageddon erschaffen. Wie das klingt könnt ihr HIER erfahren !
After more than 20 years in the death metal scene, former Dismember/Carnage drummer Fred Estby wanted to express his passion for different kinds of extreme music he's bore since his youth. In 2008, Estby started to write and record material with the intention of having one unique vocalist for each song. Dubbed NECRONAUT, the project would become a reality one year later when Estby began contacting the many talented metal musicians he had in mind to complete the album of his diabolic dreams.
Estby is currently finalizing the as-yet-untitled album slated for release later this year via Regain Records. In short, NECRONAUT is a raw slab of old school metal and while the term “old-school” alone goes a long way in accurately describing the sound that one should expect from Estby and co, NECRONAUT are so much more. The band's approach is crude and dead simple, a la early Bathory and Venom mutated with Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, but with an unorthodox bass-heavy production that allows the album to stand out amongst its peers. The goal was primitive brute force, but because of the manner in which Estby chose to achieve it, he also managed to create an aura of pure malevolence that, prior to this album’s creation, was likely difficult to imagine.

'Fi'mbulvintr' wurde im März und April 2010 im schwedischen Varberg in Andy LaRoqcues (King Diamond) Sonic Train Studios aufgenommen. Andy war dabei für das Engineering und die Ko-Produktion zuständig.
"We worked really hard, nights and days, using both A and B studios for the ultimate outcome of our stay. Thirteen songs were nailed on track, including intro and outro. The arrangements are well thought through and the vocal tracks being laid down with a lot of thought behind. The production has a somewhat organic sound to it, simple and raw, yet allowing everything shine through and bring the production to it's full justice. Recording, mixing and mastering took place at Sonic Train Studios, so we've had eyes and ears to it all the way, along with the great support and professionalism from Andy LaRocque. So with all efforts put down in this we are very proud and anxious to get this out and see from where to start."

KING OF ASGARD wurden im Jahre 2008 von Karl Beckman gegründet, nachdem er seine anderen musikalischen Projekte aufgelöst hatte. Er tat sich mit seinem lange verschollenen alten Komplizen Karsten Larsson zusammen, mit dem er schon in der Wikingerhorde Mithotyn gemeinsam gewütet hatte. Nach jahrelanger Trennung war schnell klar, dass beide zurück zu ihren Wurzeln gehen wollten. Sowohl musikalisch als auch textlich, was sich auf der nordische Erbe bezieht, das sie in ihren Texten weitertragen wollen. Ende 2009 stieß noch J. Albrektsson zu den beiden hinzu und machte das Line-up komplett.

Some news for you all:
We will enter Black Lounge studio in october and together with Jonas Kjellgren we will try to create the best possible Army album ever.
If we succeed or not is up to you to judge, but all I can say is that for the first time all songs feels like keepers. We have chosen 9 songs out of
13 and now the pre-recordings are done. There´s just some solos and lyrics left to be done but they will be in place in a couple of weeks.
My voice seem stronger than in years. Like I´ve gone back 10 years to record a Crownalbum or something, and the rest of the gang is truly doing tremendous things.
Jonas has written most of the songs and we have all had the chance to put some input in them which feels great. We´ve had so much time with the songs and to have had this long period since "Grim Tales" to just reload the batteries has been a true blessing. The ones who know about us knows that we were famous for working ultra fast and releasing album after album, year after year but I got to tell ya, this time we needed the extra time to come up with something extra special so it´s with great pleasure I announce "The dark epic..." as the title of our forthcoming album.
Some titles on the album are: Sandman apocalypse, Stitch, The pleasures of slavery, How I love to kill you, The zombie syndrome (of acid and man)
The coverart is being processed at this right moment by Björn of "Killustrations" so when we have it you will see it. Björn is a great guy and a real talent and we´ve talked for some time now to do the whole thing together. He has done some really cool shirt designs for us so we expect nothing but a masterpiece from him. No pressure Björn
Those who expect General Grim to be on this one too will be very dissapointed.

Die finnische Band KYPCK hat leider ihre Europa-Sommertournee - und damit auch ihre Show auf dem BRUTAL ASSAULT 2010 - abgesagt. "Wir müssen leider unsere Show auf dem diesjährigen BRUTAL ASSAULT absagen. The derzeitige Situation unserer Band, unseres neuen Labels und unseres neuen Albums ist chaotisch und wir fühlen uns besser zum derzeitigen Zeitpunkt zu canceln als 2 Tage vor dem Festival wenn vom Veranstalter bereits bezahlte Flüge, Hotels usw. sehr kurzfristig storniert werden müssten. "It's studio time again. We've been working hard on a new album lately and just finished songwriting. Our second album with a World War One theme. Mike and Henri will start laying down drum and guitar tracks at Soundlodge Studio's (Germany) with producer Joerg Uken. It's our third time recording there as we have been very pleased with the results of the previous albums.
We would like to thank Ian Jekelis (Abigail Williams) for playing guitar with us on the Killfest tour in the U.S. where we supported Overkill on many great and succesful shows. We also would like to welcome Danny Tunker as our new lead guitarist. Danny already played with us on a few shows and festivals and we decided to give him the chance to show his skills on our new album.

Die Gore-Metal Pioniere von EXHUMED haben sich reformiert und wollen schon im Frühjahr 2011 eine neue Scheibe auf den Markt bringen.

I wanted this to be a continuation of what the band was doing and was on its way to doing, not a reunion or some weird nostalgia thing, so the first person I started talking about this with was our guitarist Wes (Caley), who has been writing some great songs for the new album, and once he got the ball rolling with Leon (DelMuerte, bass, vocals) and Danny (Walker, drums), it come together quickly and easier than ever!”
“We've been writing for the past few months, me in Hawaii, and the other guys in California, and now that I'm back on the mainland we'll be getting things together for album number four. We're all really excited about the new shit, it should combine the directness of "Slaughtercult" and the intricacy of "Anatomy..." so it's definitely gonna be our strongest record yet.”
