Der erste Schwung Bands wurde bekannt gegeben, Alter Falter !
The time has come to reveal the first announcements for the KILL-TOWN DEATH FEST 2014, the 5ft edition of this international underground Death Metal celebration!
As always, we’ve done our best to gather some of the very finest of what the current death metal scene has to offer and compile it into 4 days of absolutely ear-mangling, throat-slashing and gut-maiming death metal madness!
The dates for the Kill-Town Death Fest V 2014 will be from September 4th – 7th.
Like the previous 4 editions, the festival will kick off with a warm-up show on the Thursday at the venue Loppen, in Copenhagen’s freetown Christiania, then continue with 2 days of pure Death Metal insanity in all of its various forms at the main venue,Ungdomshuset, and then finish off with our Doom Death / Funeral Doom themed day “Gloomy Sunday” at Ungdomshuset. A way we feel perfectly closes the chapter of yet another brutal weekend of sonic ear terror.

ja, das wird gut! Letztes jahr war es richtig gut ( KATECHON haben mir gut gefallen, u.a.)!! Die Stimmung war auch gut!!! Sehr gute ATmosphäre, DIY. Pflichttermin, auch wenn nicht alle Bands total reinhauen!

Today is the day you have all been waiting for! This evening we are announcing the remaining acts to complete the 5th and final edition of Kill-Town Death Fest. We are sorry for taking so long with the rest of the line-up, but now it´s finally ready!

Hier noch ein paar News, warum das Festival leider in die letzte Runde startet. Eigentlich wollte ich da ja unbedingt mal hin .... mal sehen ob das vllt dieses Jahr noch klappt.
As exited as we are to finally present the last part of the line-up, it´s with heavy hearts that we are also announcing that the 5th edition of Kill-Town Death Fest will be the last. For the past 5 years the KTDF Collective under the Association Undergrundsmusikkens Fremme has been organizing the festival which set out to promote underground death metal with DIY ideals. Over the years the festival has gained an international reputation in the metal underground for its work to bring forth the best of the contemporary death metal underground.
Why stop now? We are a volunteer run collective who organize this festival in our spare time. As the fest has grown bigger, the work load has too – and it has become difficult for us to continue delivering a good, varied and quality filled program with the resources that we can invest into it… both financially, and time wise. We wish that this festival could continue, but we are running low on our batteries and do not wish to settle for less.
Our goal was to set out and create a framework for underground dearth metal, and to help promote bands from near and far that normally wouldn’t get exposure in a professional setting. We feel that we have accomplished most of our goals and have hopefully helped inspire other die hard metal fans out there to start similar events.
We want to thank everyone who has ever supported this event as guests, bands, volunteers, labels, magazines etc. Without your support this event would never have become what it did. We are forever grateful to all of you, and we hope that you will join us for this final celebration of the death metal underground.
As you can see in the line-up. we have a few repeat performances by bands from the previous years. We feel that this last edition should be compiled of bands that have never played our stage, accompanied by some of the bands who have played the fest that we feel represent the idea and soul of the festival (besides being great bands).
In order to have more bands playing the final edition of Kill-Town Death Fest, we have decided to add another stage. The second, smaller stage is called Dødsmaskinen (The Death Machine), and is located within the venue Ungdomshuset. Therefor we have been able to add some extra bands this year, thus enabling us to present 28 bands from all around the world.
We are really proud and excited about this final program, bringing you bands from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Greece, France, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and Italy. Besides that we have a number of special treats for you, some that we have dug up from the past and others appearing for the first time in Europe. All in all we hope to give you a unique and exclusive death metal experience in the first weekend of September.

The final edition of Kill-Town Death fest will be held the 5th – 7th of September in UNGDOMSHUSET at Dortheavej 61, in Copenhagens Northwest quarter.
The festival will be a 4-day event, with a warm up show Thursday September 4th at Loppen in Copenhagens freetown Christiania. The festival will present 28 international acts, metal DJs, cheap good quality beer, vegan foodstalls, horror-movie screenings, a distro area and outdoor hang-out space.
Kill-Town Death Fest is a celebration of the current underground Death Metal scene, the active bands and people involved. Our goal is to create a festival that puts focus on the music and the bands, not money and prestige. The festival is based on D.I.Y. ethics, meaning that the festival is non-commercial. Neither we the organizers, nor the bands playing, are making a profit . That is also why we don’t want to do headliners and all of the bands will get the same treatment. Our primary focus will be on the Scandinavian underground Death Metal scene, but we also try to bring in a few acts from other parts of Europe, as well as the international Death Metal scene.
